How would you like to help stamp out hunger? This Saturday, May, 11, letter carriers from Texarkana Ark., and Texarkana, Texas will be picking up non-perishable food items from our community who wish to donate to help hunger relief locally.

The Golden Circle Class from First Baptist Church is holding its Summer Garage sale fundraiser today through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The McDonald’s restaurant located at at 711 East 7th Street in Texarkana will donate 20 percent of proceeds this Wednesday, April 24 to help support the family of employee Jaqualyn Paxton.

Leadership Texarkana celebrated local excellence in community leadership at their 10th annual Lunch with Leaders at Northridge Country Club on April 9, with the awarding of the organization’s Leader Of The Year Award, as well as honoring community leaders through Leadership Texarkana’s annual Wilbur Awards.  The luncheon was sponsored by Texarkana Emergency Center.
