It's being billed as the Texas Takeover Tour as Award-winning Contemporary Christian recording artist MercyMe  perform at the Perot Theatre on Sunday, Feb. 26 at 6PM. This has always been one of my favorite Christian bands out there.

With Gold and platinum albums, Dove Awards, Grammy nominations and #1 songs on Christian music charts, this show is one you don't want to miss. MercyMe is on the heels of a brand new album Lifer which will be released March 31 with their latest single "Even If."

The band was founded in Greenville, Texas and formed in 1994. After the release of several independent albums MercyMe finally hit it big with "I Can Only Imagine" which also launched there album Almost There, that eventually went double platinum. With 13 Top five singles on the Billboard Christian Songs Charts and 7 reaching the top of the charts at number 1.

Involved in numerous charities MercyMe recorded a song "I Would Die For You" on their fourth album, Coming Up to Breathe and dedicated to BJ Higgins. Higgins was a young kid who got the the bubonic plague while on a mission trip to Peru. Though Higgins death the song has been used to raise money for the Go Foundation.
