The Today’s Youth Tomorrow’s Leaders Class of 2012 in conjunction with Komen Texarkana is sponsoring a city-wide Pink Out Texarkana Day on Friday, October 12, to highlight breast cancer awareness month. The goal is to join together as a city and support an organization that educates the Texarkana area and helps fund mammograms and treatment for breast cancer patients. Schools, churches, hospitals, businesses and Texarkana residents are encouraged to wear pink on October 12. The four major high schools in town are planning special events on their campuses such as pep rallies and a balloon release. We encourage others to plan their own events or ceremonies to support survivors and patients.

Please contact Tiffany Beck or Terrie Arnold about your Pink Out Texarkana events. We would love to attend the events and we have a group of survivors that also can attend. We look forward to hearing from you and to a great Pink Out day.
