Easter is coming soon and everybody loves to color Easter eggs.

I found few videos that show different ways to color Easter eggs. I really love the look of the marbled eggs. This one is done with the shell off the egg. Even though the color is spectacular on these, I must admit, as a child, I would not have eaten these. If just a little color was on an egg I wouldn't touch it. Hopefully, not all kids are like I was.

The shaving cream techniques is popular, but get ready because it can get very, very messy! A possible, less messy way, is to put the shaving cream in zip lock bags instead of the pan or cookie sheet method.

This next video goes into the shaving cream technique again but what I really liked was the crayon technique. You can see that at about the five-minute mark.

When and why do we color Easter eggs? According to History.com:

Decorating eggs for Easter is a tradition that dates back to at least the 13th century, according to some sources. One explanation for this custom is that eggs were formerly a forbidden food during the Lenten season, so people would paint and decorate them to mark the end of the period of penance and fasting, then eat them on Easter as a celebration.
