Cooper Tire and Rubber Company is in the process of being bought by Apollo Tyres of India for 2.5 billion dollars, but some concerns with the deal has surfaced.

Union officials have some problems with the purchase including Apollo's debt, but most specifically, the concern that Apollo will purchase the network and shut the local plant down. The Texarkana plant has more than 1,500 employees.
