Country Cares For St. Jude Kids [VIDEO]

We are gearing up for our annual "Country Cares for St. Jude Kid's Radiothon" Thursday & Friday from 6am-6pm on Kicker 102.5.Did you know it now takes $1.6 million a day to keep St. Jude Children's Research Hospital running, which is primarily covered by public donations. St. Jude has developed protocols that have helped push overall survival rates for childhood cancers from less than 20 percent when the hospital opened to 80 percent today.

St. Jude researchers and doctors are treating children with genetic immune defects and pediatric AIDS, as well as using new drugs and therapies to fight infections.

Parents magazine named St. Jude the No.1 pediatric cancer care hospital in the country,based on the magazine's survey of more than 75 children's hospitals nationwide.

I've toured the hospital, met the parents, met the children, and have seen all the good this hospital is doing to help the kids beat cancer. From the doctors, nurses, the entire staff at St. Jude's is dedicated and focused on finding cures. Their passion and the love they have for the kids and the family is incredible.
