Kickoff your Memorial holiday weekend with Texarkana's Dusty Rose Band this Saturday, May 23, for a special fundraiser for St. Jude at Scottie's Grill.

In conjunction with the annual Talimena Rally "Crusin' for St. Jude," where local bikers get together to ride to Memphis, TN., to visit the kids and deliver the money they have been raising from various events throughout the year including the money they raise on Saturday night.

The Dusty Rose Band is a well known local band that has been around since 2005. Through the years DRB has developed a band that knows how to throw a party, no matter how big or small the event may be. Jason Springer, the lead singer, will tell you straight up.

"It's all about the fans, they're the ones that keep showing their support by coming to our shows, no matter where that might be."

Jason and his band have always been a huge supporter of St. Jude Children's s Research Hosptial and love being a part of something that helps children battling cancer.

The band has played all over the Ark-La-Tex at various events, festivals, private parties, bars, fundraisers, and yes, even casinos in Shreveport-Bossier on a regular basis. They've also had the opportunity to open for other musical artists such as, Chase Rice at Railfest several years ago, and Mark Chesnutt, Jason Boland, and others. On September 5, 2017, it was proclaimed Dusty Rose Band Day, by former Mayor of Texarkana, Arkansas Ruth Penney Bell.

Having earned the reputation as a party band the Dusty Rose Band continues to rev up its fans with their blend of Southern Rock, Country, Classic Rock, Blues, and Pop.

So put on your dancing shoes and come join the party Saturday night at Scottie's with the Dusty Rose Band and enjoy a catfish dinner plus a silent auction.
