Eric ‘Mean’ Melin a True American Air Guitar Hero [VIDEO]

They don't call him Eric ‘Mean’ Melin for nothing.

Chalk up a big win for a guy who knows how to play a little air guitar. Melin wowed the crowd with his theatrics of playing like a rock n' roll legend. Melin who is American won the air guitar world championship in Finland last week, bringing the coveted title stateside.

Melin had quite the musical journey to earn his victory. First, he won a contest the night before just to make the field. Then, he was ordered to go second among all the competitors, which traditionally means a low scores since the judges aren’t whipped into a frenzy yet.

Then, to top it off he won the competition to advance for a playoff against fellow American Doug Stroock.

After his victory, Melin was still pumped and said, "This is insane. It's so amazing. This is the best night in my life."
