Kicker 102.5 Presents: The 2013 Texaco Country Showdown at The Fair

Do you have what it takes to become the next Texaco Country Showdown winner? Kicker 102.5 is proud to present the 2013 Texaco Country Showdown at the Four States Fair starting with the semi-finals on Monday, September 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the outdoor amphitheater.Your favorite local artists are performing in the competition of a lifetime. Come out and cheer for your favorite singer or band and enjoy the music, revel in the fun and watch the birth of a star. Last years local Texaco Country Showdown winner was the Jason Helms Band.

The only ticket you need to watch the show is your ticket to the fair which cost $7 for adults, kids 6 – 12 are $4 and children under four are free of charge. Admission to the competition is free and everyone is invited to attend. So come on out, ya’ll!

Want to get into the act? Download an entry form(here) or stop by the Kicker Studios at 2324 Arkansas Blvd., Texarkana, AR. for details. Entries must be received by Kicker by 5 p.m. on Sept. 6. Enter as a solo act or with your band. Semi finalists will perform Sept. 16 and finalists will go on to perform Sept. 19. The winner of the competition will advance to the Arkansas State Final in October.

The Texaco Country Showdown has supported live country music and offered new country music talent across America the chance to launch their music careers for over thirty years.

This year, Kicker 102.5 FM and Texaco want to give our listening audience a shot at making their dreams come true. The Showdown has already helped stars like Garth Brooks, Sara Evans, Martina McBride, LeAnn Rimes, Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley and others get their start. Now it’s time to make a local musician’s dreams come true!
