The Four States Cystic Fibrosis Coon Hunter's Association was formed in 1984 by Dexter Whatley and a group of family and friends in their search to help his daughter Lora, who was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. The club’s purpose is solely to raise money for the research of a cure of Cystic Fibrosis. Monies raised are turned over to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation after the event each year. Only start-up funds are held in order to carry out the following year's initial expense.
