The STEM Club (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Club) will present the 2015 Pi Day Festival and Pi Run at the Texas A&M University-Texarkana campus on Saturday, March 14, from 11 a.m. until dark.The Pi Run begins at 4 p.m. and is a 3.14 mile run/walk. In addition, there will a blood drive starting at 11 a.m. leading up to the biggest event of the day where the STEM Club will be attempting to break a Guinness World Record, the largest human representation of the symbol Pi. But of course, the record cannot be accomplished without the help of our community. At least 589 people are needed to beat the record now held by Germany. Aerial photographs will be taken to catch the endeavor.

Here's the time schedule for activities:

• Lifeshare Blood Drive – 11:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

• Guinness World Record and Photograph – 3:14 p.m.

• Games, music, face painting, food and drinks throughout the day

The 2015 Pi run is an opportunity for veteran and novice runners/walkers alike to come together and help the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Club raise money to provide scholarships for A&M-Texarkana students majoring in Mathematics and other STEM disciplines.
