Highway 59 Northbound Traffic to Move to New Bridge Sept. 3

Traveling around the Texarkana area on Thursday, Sept. 3, be advised that the Texas Department of Transportation is reminding drivers who take Highway 59 will need to re-route to the new bridge at Domino, Texas, on Thursday. Northbound traffic will be moved onto the new overpass on US 59 at FM 3129 in Domino beginning on Thursday, Sept. 3. Southbound traffic is scheduled to be moved onto the new structure beginning next week. Once all traffic on US 59 is using the new overpass, FM 3129 will be opened to traffic under the structure.

Motorists are encouraged to use extra precaution when traveling this section of highway as drivers become accustomed to the new traffic pattern. The construction schedule and change in traffic patterns can change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen problems.
