It's a fact, Millennials love two things more than their phone.

I'm completely shocked over this news. Of all the technology out there, Millennials love two things more than their handy, best-friend-in-a-pocket, smartphone.

First, let's define "Millennial" shall we?

Millennials are the generation that reached adulthood around the year 2000. They are also known as Generation Y. It's hard to nail down specific years, but after a few Google searches it appears to be anyone who was born between 1982 and 1994. I find this a little disappointing because I was born during this period and I don't see myself falling into the negative stereotypes that surround Millennials, like lack of social awareness and self-entitlement.

And that they are supposedly glued to their phones 24/7.

However, contrary to popular belief, Millennials actually spend more time with television and radio than they do their phones. Well, at least according to a study conducted by Westwood One in an effort to debunk the stereotypes surrounding this generation. They worked with Nielsen, Edison Research, and the Advertising Research Foundation on the project.

They found that Millennials spend 34 percent of their time with television, 23 percent with radio and 20 percent with their smartphone. The rest of their time is spent on "TV connected devices," computers and tablets.

And I say, "Thank you." Thank you for loving us. Thank you for listening to us. Oh, and in that 20 percent of your day that you are spending on your phone, I hope you're listening to us on the free RadioPup App.
