Expect Construction Work On I-30 In Texarkana This Week

Get ready for more work on I-30 this week. The work will be taking place at night so there won't be as much disruption of the traffic flow. It will all start at 8 PM tonight so if you are on I-30 in the work areas expect workers and lane closures.

Beginning tonight Monday, February 12 from 8 PM until 6 AM, there will be work crews making repairs at the westbound I-30/I-369/US 59 interchange. During the evening and overnight hours, they will be closing the main lanes of I-30 around the Mile 222 marker which is between FM 1397/Summerhill Road and Cowhorn Creek to the Mile marker 220 which is located between University and FM 989/Kings Highway.

The Westbound Frontage Road will remain open. Please be aware that all I-30 westbound traffic will be directed to exit at the Exit 220B /Richmond Road exit. Then the traffic will be directed to re-enter the westbound I-30 lane between at University and FM 989.

This work will be done on Monday, Thursday, and Friday nights this week depending on the weather.

There will be more nighttime work on the I-30 eastbound lanes, from FM 989/Kings Highway to Arkansas State Line to do pavement repairs. Be sure to expect lane closures over the next two weeks.

Other I-30 projects in Texarkana this week starting on Tuesday, February 13 from 8 PM to 6 AM there will be work on the I-369 where they will be removing overhead signs. Please be aware that traffic will go down to one lane in this area. The work should be completed by morning.

Remember if you are local to please use the frontage roads instead of I-30 to keep traffic down in these areas.
