No Name, No Talent Rap Artist Flips Bird During Super Bowl Halftime

So, did you happen to see the rude gesture by rapper/singer/whatever she claims to be, M.I.A during Madonna’s halftime show last night?

During Madonna’s performance of “Give Me All Your Luvin”, the British “singer”  flipped the camera the bird and mouthed another expletive, although all most people heard was really bad “singing” and couldn’t understand her.

The NFL and NBC were quick to issue an apology. NFL Spokesperson Bryan McCarthy stated “The obscene gesture in the performance was completely inappropriate, very disappointing and we apologize to our fans,”. The NFL produced the halftime show.

I guess these no talent, no name rappers will do just about anything to grab a little publicity.  M.I.A.’s previous claim to fame was back in 07 when she had a hit with the song “Paper Airplanes”.

Here’s the video of the incident.

Update: Looks like the stunt isn’t working out as well as she probably hoped. According to the digital video recorder maker Tivo, not too many people played back the incident on their digital recorders.

What act(s) would you like to see perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show in the future? I want to see them book an old country group, like Alabama. With a special performance by Garth Brooks and George Strait. Now THAT would be an entertaining halftime show. And no worries about any of them flipping off the camera.
