Zombie Alert: This Saturday, October 25 get ready to run for your life with the second annual Zombie Run to benefit the Literacy Council of Bowie and Miller counties on the North Shore of Wright Patman Lake. You will have to run, crawl. climb, pull your way out of the zombie infested race course if you want to make it out alive. The event fundraiser starts at 4 p.m. and goes to the last survivor makes it alive by 8 p.m. Wearing a flag football like safety belt, runners will have to figure out which is the quickest route out of the zombie course to stay alive. Those who finish with the most flags will enjoy food (not brains) music and fun.

Whether you choose to be a flesh eating zombie or a 5K Run/Walker entry fee is $35 for runner, $20 Zombie walker.

And if you're not sure what goes on in a Zombie run check out this video of some previous zombie runs in other cities. Note: All obstacle courses will vary depending on location. This YouTube video is just an example and does not mean it will be an exact replica of the event this Saturday.
