In case you haven't heard the news yet, the Taste of Country Christmas Tour featuring Frankie Ballard is coming to Texarkana on Saturday, Nov. 14, at Shooters. Kicker 102.5 is proud to present one of the hottest new country artists on the country charts today. Frankie Ballard broke into the country music scene with his #1, Gold-certified smash "Helluva Life." The single is featured on his current album Sunshine and Whiskey, which debuted in the Top 5 on the Billboard Country Albums Charts. His spectacular live show has caught the attention of several big time heavyweights like Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift and rock legend Bob Seger who have all offered Ballard the opening slot on their tour.

Pretty impressive for the singer/songwriter/guitarist from Battle Creek, Michigan, who is carving a niche in country music and, as of late, has been dominating the country music charts with his newest number hit "Young And Crazy," the follow up to his chart topping #1 hit "Sunshine and Whiskey."

On the album Sunshine and Whiskey Frankie says, the album, "represents the beginning of what people will call my sound." It's a mixture of influences, from country classics to blues legends, from Southern rock to contemporary sounds, all held together by the force of his artistic personality. Like heroes including Willie Nelson and Hank Jr., he makes everything he touches his own, a result, more than anything, of a decade of honing his craft on stages all over the country.

Frankie grew up loving Elvis Presley, Johnny Horton, and many other stars from the golden era. He was a sports fanatic, too, as a kid, and eventually  played baseball at Western Michigan University, while he gradually turned a minor interest in music into his main passion.

Not only is Frankie a gifted singer, but he is a darn good guitarist as well. Having learned from many guitar greats including legendary blues guitarist Buddy Guy, Ballard loves taking his music out on the road to his fans. He has quickly become a guy known for putting on a high energy show, full of great music, that connects with everyone who comes to see him.

"I'm always trying to push myself to the next level with my stage performance. The fans deserve something great."

Tickets are now on sale to see Frankie Ballard in concert at Shooters Saturday, Nov. 14. Tickets are available for just $12 (online only) for a limited time. Get yours early before they go up!
