All of us here at Kicker are big supporters of  St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and hope that you will join us for our annual Country Cares for St. Jude Kids Radiothon February 23 and 24.

This past weekend Mario, our Sales Director Mitzi and I had the chance to visit the hospital in  Memphis.  I've been a few times and toured the hospital and I must say, I am always, I mean ALWAYS amazed at this hospital. The advancements being made in cancer treatment is incredible! St. Jude is such a wonderful and unique place! Where else can you go if your child has cancer and never have to worry about a medical bill? They do so many things to help a child heal...body and soul.  The patients and their parents say, St. Jude is not just a hospital...it's family, it's home, it's hope.

We took pictures of the Target House where families can live when their child is under long term cancer treatment for 6 months or more. Rooms in the house have been decorated by Brad Paisley, Amy Grant, Scott Hamilton and Tiger Woods. Brad's wife, Kimberly, comes often and spends the day visiting the kids and working on crafts with them, the same with Scott Hamilton and his wife.

Speaking of celebrities, we had the chance to meet with some country artists who support St. Jude, like Martina McBride, The Eli Young Band, Josh Thompson and of course Randy Owen. While we were there, John Rich received the first "Randy Owen Angels Among Us" Award for raising 1.4 million dollars on Celebrity Apprentice last season.

Check out some of the pictures from the weekend and join us next month for our radiothon and help us support this awesome hospital and research center. Plus during our radiothon you'll have the chance to win an autographed guitar  (by all the artists from this weekend) from the Country Music Store in Texarkana!
