The Ashdown High School Serenity Cafe opened its doors on January 26. Talk about being innovative!

Ashdown High School was recently notified that they have been designated a School of Innovation.  The designation is based upon AHS reaching goals set by the Department of Education and by providing evidence that they had reached these goals from data and a site visit last February.

Homecoming activities for Ashdown High School have been modified until Friday, November 6, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Annual Margaret Daniel Educational Foundation Dinner was held in the Ashdown High School Cafeteria on Saturday, February 15 and sponsored by Trammell Piazza Law Firm, PLLC.

Are you looking to give your significant other something special for Valentine’s Day? During the week of February 10-14, you may purchase a Sing-A-Gram and the Ashdown High School Choir will serenade them! You may choose from a list of standard love songs, and the choir will surprise your loved one.

The Margaret Daniel Educational Foundation presented an $8000 grant to the Ashdown High School Computer Science Department along with the AHS baseball team to acquire a batting and pitching Rapsodo camera.

On, Monday, December 16, Ashdown Public Schools recognized their campus Teachers of the Year and announced the District Teacher of the Year.  Teachers from each campus were able to vote for their Teacher of the Year and a special committee with much difficulty chose AHS teacher Jennifer Simmons as the District Teacher of the Year...

Veterans Day was November 11, and three veterans received their diplomas from Ashdown High School as part of a special ceremony held during the Ashdown Board Meeting.

The Ashdown High School Purple Pride Marching Band marched at the Showcase of Bands Marching Contest held at War Memorial Stadium on Saturday, October 12.  The band performed a show featuring the music of Queen, which included Crazy Little Thing Called Love, We Will Rock You, and Bohemian Rhapsody.

The Junior class of Ashdown High School would like to invite the public to the 8th annual Prom Grand March on Saturday, April 6, at 5PM on the steps of the Little River County Courthouse.

There will be a parade to celebrate the Ashdown High School Boys’ Basketball State Championship this Friday, March 15.
