On, Monday, December 16, Ashdown Public Schools recognized their campus Teachers of the Year and announced the District Teacher of the Year.  Teachers from each campus were able to vote for their Teacher of the Year and a special committee with much difficulty chose AHS teacher Jennifer Simmons as the District Teacher of the Year...

There is a bit of work that can be done to take better care of our educators.

These teachers are hilarious. Beyond the photo bomb is the video boogie, check them out as they "bust a move" while students are giving mock interviews.

Each of us have been affected by teachers. Some of them were great, while others failed to inspire. But for those who step up, filled with compassion and the determination to educate, they hold the power to shape the future of the world by daring their students to dream, even when it may seem that the odds are stacked against the children who populate their classrooms.

We absolutely love educators. They shape us as children and help mold us into the people we eventually become. One woman took this task seriously for 20 years, leading Texarkana’s youths by example.
