Thomas Rhett Cancels Weekend Appearance With Toby Keith

Country up and comer Thomas Rhett, who many here in town saw this past November at Shooters opening up for Brantley Gilbert, has fallen ill and won't be able to perform this weekend in Georgia as planned.

Thomas has come down with mononucleosis and tonsillitis. He was scheduled to open this weekends show for Toby Keith and Brantley Gilbert as part of Toby's "Live in Overdrive" tour.

The son of songwriter/singer Rhett Akins,  Thomas Rhett's first album is due out on iTunes on August 28th.

Here's wishing Thomas a speedy recovery! Great guy and a talented songwriter/performer. I expect big things from this kid in the coming years.
