Ahh! Halloween my favorite time of year, kids trick or treating, fall festivals, and costume parties, lots of parties. If your planning a party might as well be a festive Halloween party.Since my birthday happens to fall on Halloween I've had my share of parties through the years. My mother always had parties for me in our backyard when I was a kid. My father worked at that time at a Ice Cream factory known in Texarkana as Southern Belle Creameries so we always had free ice cream treats at the parties. My mom would invite some of the neighborhood kids and my personal friends over for fun and games. Some of my favorite memories of being a kid were made right there in that old backyard.

At that time there was no i-POD, no cell phones, no video games no social networks, just kids getting together to have a good time. And I think most of my childhood friends today would agree that those were some of the best moments growing up as well.

Now it seems that everywhere you turn someone is throwing a party whether it be at a friends home or out at the club. Halloween has become the second most celebrated holiday behind Christmas and the second most money making holiday of the year.
