CenturyLink Center will look new again this fall when patrons come to see more of the top entertainment SMG has been bringing to Bossier City! Nearly $10 million in upgrades, funded by The City of Bossier City, will provide customers with additional comforts including new seating, new concessions areas, new marquee, refreshed restrooms, and new VIP areas, as well as behind the scenes enhancements including climate control, lighting and sound equipment.

According to a press release, “After each show, we ask our guests for feedback on how we can make their experience better,” says Rebecca Bonnevier, SMG General Manager. “Based on that information, The City of Bossier City invests in CenturyLink Center to ensure the arena is competitive and relevant. We are extremely thankful to The City Council of the City of Bossier City for having to foresight to implement a restoration fee to make these improvements and upgrades possible. With these updates, our arena can remain NWLA’s destination to host the likes of Garth Brooks, Taylor Swift, and the Blake Shelton’s of the world.”

Working around the arena’s current events, residents may see contractors working diligently on the grounds and within the venue, making updates. “Our event schedule will not be interrupted with the work being done,” continues Bonnevier. “Contractors will keep the areas neat and functional while we host the Foo Fighters, Thomas Rhett, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, and other events.”

A Bossier Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting is planned for the fall when SMG and The City of Bossier City will present the finished projects to the public. At the event, guests will be able to tour public areas, as well as star dressing rooms, green rooms, and locker rooms, all receiving a facelift. A date for the unveiling will be announced in the coming weeks.

CenturyLink Center is constantly rated among the top arenas in the United States, and has become an industry leader among arenas its size. Just last year, CenturyLink Center hosted five sold-out events including: Xscape, Jason Aldean, Chris Stapleton, Journey, and Paul McCartney!
