You go to the store to buy one of your favorite items and you can't find it. You go to another store looking for it and still, you can't find the product. Where did it go and why?

It happened to me a few years ago. I went to the store looking for my favorite soft drink, Sierra Mist. Then I found it had undergone a name change. A few months later, it was gone. It just disappeared off the face of the earth, and I was devastated.

Why Do Companies Discontinue Food Products?

Some products disappear because of low sales, bad marketing or someone had the bright idea to make it 'new and improved' like my old beloved Sierra Mist.

Sometimes companies will bring an item back for a limited time for nostalgic reasons and it will take you on a sweet trip down memory lane. A few years ago I saw a cereal that I loved as a child and it was back in the stores for a short time. It was Quisp, he was an alien on the cereal box. It tasted like Captain Crunch but it was shaped like flying saucers. Oh and then the return of Tab, that was another one of my favorites.
