Bowie County Special Olympics Benefit brings the local community together for a day of fun to support over 350 Special Olympic athletes from Bowie and Cass Counties. The fundraiser event will take place on Saturday, Jan. 25, beginning at noon at the Texarkana Elks Lodge 3702 New Boston Road.

With over 250 guests including members of the community, corporate sponsors, and the families and friends of Bowie and Cass County Special Olympic Athletes. This year's benefit is being held in honor of Mrs. Dianna Melton.

Activities include a Silent Auction, Dart Tournament, Kids Fun Activities, and Lunch will be provided. There will be a special performance by the Krystal Bell Ringers from New Boston Life Skills Class and Live music from local band Relentless.

About Special Olympics

Bowie County Special Olympics is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization focused on providing individuals with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to participate in sports where every single person is accepted and welcomed, regardless of ability or disability. Donations fund Alford's Athletes/Carson's Crossing Bowie County Special Olympics held each spring for all schools and special adults of Bowie County and Cass County and help send Special Olympics athletes to the area and state Special Olympics in track and field and softball.
