How Fun – Don’t Miss The Cardboard Boat Races in Texarkana Saturday
Ahoy Ye Land Lubbers! How well do you think you could build and float a boat made of cardboard? If you want to try, this is your weekend in Texarkana, Arkansas.
I can't think of many things more fun than watching people try to "not sink" in a homemade cardboard boat that absolutely will sink. The only question is, how long will it take to sink?
If this sounds like a giant mess of fun to you then you need to be a Bobby Furguson Park this Saturday, April 27 for the Communities Unlimited - Whatever Floats Your Boat Cardboard Boat Race.
It all starts at 9 AM at the Pavilion at Bobby Ferguson Park on U of A Way.
There is still time to enter your boat design, but time is quickly running out. Personal or family entries are just $25. Seasoned sailors and first-time floaters wanted.
There is something for everyone:
- thrilling boat races
- games
- delicious food
- community partners
Proceeds will go toward Texarkana Arkansas Parks Department's new all-inclusive playground.
Will they float, or will they sink? Find out this Saturday at Bobby Furguson Park in Texarkana, Arkansas, don't miss the Whatever Floats Your Boat Cardboard Boat Race.
