Registration Open for 2025 Great American Cleanup in Arkansas
Keep Arkansas Beautiful has opened registration for the 2025 Great American Cleanup, the state’s largest community improvement effort. This annual event is part of the national Keep America Beautiful initiative, encouraging Arkansans to work together to enhance public spaces, protect natural areas, and promote community pride.
Each year, the Great American Cleanup mobilizes more than 300,000 volunteers nationwide, generating over $20 million in benefits for participating communities. Here in Arkansas, thousands of volunteers take part in cleanup events in parks, on the streets, and in neighborhoods. Schools, civic groups, businesses, and individuals are encouraged to participate, with students able to earn community service hours through the program while making a tangible impact in their communities.

“Through the Great American Cleanup, we empower Arkansans to take action in their communities,” said McKenzie McMath Coronel, Director of Keep Arkansas Beautiful. “By facilitating participation in all 75 counties, we help ensure that every corner of our state gets the attention it deserves. When people come together to clean up their towns, they not only improve their surroundings but also build a stronger sense of civic pride.”
The cleanup campaign runs from March 1 through May 31, 2025. Volunteers can register their events to receive free supplies, including trash bags, gloves, and safety vests, ensuring they have the tools needed for a successful effort.
