25th Annual "Veterans Information Fair" Saturday May 21

Armed Forces Day is Saturday, May 21 so that makes it the perfect day for the 25 Annual 'Veterans Information Fair' hosted by the Texarkana Area Chapter # 278 of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Inc.

The event is to help veterans, active duty, reserve, National Guard members and family members to gather information about VA benefits, programs and other assistance programs that are available to them.

The Information Fair will take place at the Texas Elks Lodge # 2771 located at 3702 New Boston Road from 9 AM to 1PM

Agencies that will be in attendance with information include Texas Veterans Commission, Texas Work Force, VA Outpatient Clinic, VA Medical Center (Shreveport & Little Rock), Vet Center, Social Security Administration, VA Field Office personnel, Arkansas Veterans Affairs, Arkansas WorkForce, Texarkana College and Texas A&M Veterans Counselors, Veterans Service officers, Agency on Aging, Hospice of Texarkana, East Funeral Home, Congressional aides, Lone Star Legal, American Red Cross, Texarkana Funeral Home.

The event is free there will also be a voter registration booth for both Arkansas & Texas residents.
