3 New Texarkana Restaurants Now Open for Business

We've seen many restaurants come and go in 2024, but as we approach the end of the year, I'm happy to say Texarkana has three new restaurants that have just opened.

New Texarkana Restaurants Now Open

Two familiar names and one newly named restaurant are now open in Texarkana.

1. Sushi Nami Texarkana

Let's begin with Texarkana's newest restaurant Sushi Nami an all-you-can-eat sushi buffet located in the former Juicy Seafood or Buffalo Wild Wings building in the Texarkana Pavilion Shopping Center on St. Michael Drive.

Sushi Nami is a Japanese restaurant that specializes in top-quality fresh-made sushi every day. Sushi is a Japanese dish with medium-grained rice cooked in vinegar and served with raw or cooked seafood with a variety of toppings or fillings. Rice is the main ingredient of sushi, not raw fish.

2. Fuzzy's Taco Shop - Nash, Texas

Fuzzy's Taco Shop is now open in the Travel Center at 1955 N. Kings Highway in the former Steak n' Shake location. This will mark the second location in the Texarkana area that features a bevy of tasty Tex-Mex delights such as street tacos, burrito bowls, salads, and sides like Latin-fried potatoes, chips and cheese dip, cilantro-lime rice, and refried beans.

The new owner is excited to open this location in Nash with the hope of adding an outdoor patio in the coming year.

3.  Waffle House Texarkana, Arkansas

Waffle House has been a mainstay in Texarkana for years and nationwide, now Texarkana has a brand new Waffle House on N. State Line Avenue right next door to its former location which will eventually be torn down to make room for the new Race Trac travel center.

Open 24 hours who hasn't dropped into the Waffle House after a late night at the club in Texarkana? Their world-famous waffles have made this long-time restaurant a fan-favorite and a hot spot for travelers for years.
