If you're looking for a great festival to attend in Arkansas this weekened, you don't have to travel far. The 30th Annual Magnolia Blossom Festival and 29th Annual World Championship Steak Cook-Off on May 18-19 in Magnolia, Ark., is one of my favorites. The Magnolia Blossom Festival kicks off with the Parade of World Championship Steak Cook-Off on Saturday at 10AM. Floats are usually decorated with a theme that the Chefs will use for their booth and cooking name in the competition. The parade route will begin at University Plaza and then will make it’s way down Main Street to the Magnolia Square where the steak cook-off takes place.

Other activities will include a People's Bank Treasure Hunt, Fishing Tournament, Canine Fun Show, Miss Magnolia Blossom Festival Pageant, arts and crafts, jet boat show, Baggo tournament, 5K Race/Walk and One Mile Fun Run, car and motorcycle show,  and two great concerts. See schedule of events.

Friday night enjoy a free concert from The Band of Heathens starting at 8PM. Then on Saturday, May 19, get ready for the Battle of the Bands where the top band could take home $1,000. Go to their website or call 870-234-4352 to register.
