Altrusa’s tag line is “Leading to a Better Community.”

Altrusa is a local volunteer community service club, part of a global volunteer service organization, whose purpose is to promote better communities through service by a network of people with diverse backgrounds and experiences.  Literacy is a focus and leadership is encouraged, with a concern for accomplishment, not recognition.
