Arkansas, Farmers Almanac Calls For A Cold Winter & Possible Snow Storm
Ready for some really cold temperatures? Just wait... Arkansas might see a lot of that this winter and possible snow too.
It was a pretty cold Fall and now that we are officially in Winter what can we expect?
Farmers Almanac Prediction of Fall was Correct, What About Winter 2024?
The Farmers Almanac nailed it for our fall in Arkansas and Texas as we began to feel cooler temperatures in November and in December. Now that it's January what else can we expect? The Farmers Almanac said back in September that this winter we can expect Cool, Crisp and Wet.
Cooler and drier weather should take hold during the fall, followed by a spell of cold and unsettled conditions in November and December. With the exception of the Southeast, where normal autumnal temperatures will prevail, the rest of the nation will experience a trend toward lower-than-normal temps. And most locations will experience above-normal precipitation...
If my memory serves me correctly that was a really great description of our autumn and early winter so far.
Brace Yourself Arkansas! A Cold Winter and Possible Snow Still on The Way This Year
The Farmers Almanac is pretty accurate year to year and this year is no different. We want it to feel like winter but we don't want the zero and sub-zero temperatures we saw a couple of years ago.
When the Farmers' Almanac says 'The Brr is Back' let's try not to go into panic mode. Earlier this fall their prediction for Arkansas' winter 2024 was;
unseasonably cold weather is forecast throughout January and February, with a possible major winter storm in mid-January.
I wouldn't mind a snowstorm but just one or maybe two and then bring on Summer!
