Arkansas Most Wanted Remains Now Identified From Body Found Decades Ago
DNA testing is amazing. If you are a crime junkie then you know how DNA has upped the game of identifying people years later. Recently, DNA tests have revealed that one of Arkansas' Most Wanted was found years ago but he was unidentified and already dead.
Back in 1999 two fishermen in Kentucky found a body in Lake Barkley. According to KATV.com the body of the man was wrapped in tire chains and weighed down with a hydraulic jack. Authorities were never able to identify the man until now thanks to genealogy DNA testing.
The Man Was Wanted by The Arkansas FBI
It turns out that the man is a man who has been on the Arkansas FBI Wanted List for decades. The man was identified as Roger Dale Parham of Arkansas:
What Was Roger Dale Parham Wanted For in Arkansas?
He was arrested in 1998 for raping a minor, then he was released on bond and was never seen again. But from what it looks like he was found a year later but no one could identify his body.
I just wish the justice system could have taken him on instead so his victim could've had some closure years ago. I also hate the fact that the Arkansas FBI's time was in a way wasted on trying to locate Parham for so many years. At least now they can officially take him off their list as wanted.
I would imagine that if you know anything about this development in this case the Arkansas FBI would love to hear from you.
