Double Delight: Two Arkansas Players Named Jones Hit $50K Instant Scratch-Off!

Talk about doubling your fun and your luck! Two lottery players from Arkansas played the same instant scratch-off game and won $50,000.

50k Winner #1 Greg Jones

The game was the $50,000 Frenzy, and Greg Jones, a Plumerville resident, went into a frenzy when he learned his $20 scratch-off ticket was a winner. He claimed his prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center on April 28.

Jones bought the winning ticket at Tobacco Corner Plus North, 1512 E. Harding St. in Morrilton. He previously won two $500 prizes in the same game and decided to try his luck again. It paid off big time for the frequent lottery player when he scratched off the top row, revealing he was the winner of the $50,000 prize.

He shared the good news with his wife and another lottery-playing friend before heading to the ASL Claim Center to collect his prize. Greg and his wife are planning a nice vacation with his new winnings.

50k Winner #2 - C. Jones

Meanwhile, it's ironic that another man with the same last name, Jones, would also win $50,000 playing the same instant scratch-off game, the $50,000 Frenzy. It would have been really strange if they were from the same town.

C.Jones of Columbia County purchased his winning ticket at Discount Tobacco #3, 3214 N. West Ave. in El Dorado on April 28.  According to a press release, the man rarely plays lottery games; when he does, it is usually the $5 and $10 games. Jones was feeling lucky, so he bought the $20 scratch-off ticket instead, and his intuition paid off for $50,000. After sharing the good news with family members, he's planning to save his money. By the way, two men with the same last name are not related.
