150 Pounds of Marijuana Seized in Arkansas I-40 Bust

Another large drug bust on an Arkansas interstate is highlighting the state's ongoing efforts to crack down on drug trafficking and keep illegal narcotics off local streets.

According to the Arkansas State Police press release, a trooper made a traffic stop on a van traveling along Interstate 40 near the 2-mile marker in Crawford County at approximately 1:45 PM on Wednesday, July 15.

During a search of the vehicle, troopers discovered around 150 pounds of high-grade marijuana packaged in multiple bundles.

The driver, identified as 28-year-old Marlinda Compere Exceus of Stockbridge, California, was taken into custody at the scene. Investigators said Exceus told authorities she was traveling from California to White Hall, Arkansas.

Exceus was transported to the Crawford County Detention Center, where she was booked on felony charges of Possession with the Purpose to Deliver and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
