2025 Arkansas Tax-Free Weekend August 2-3

This year, the tax-free weekend is August 2-3, from 12:01 AM on Saturday, August 2, 2025, to 11:59 PM on Sunday, August 3, 2025. Arkansas shoppers can shop for 48 hours, exempt from local and state taxes on certain back-to-school items and merchandise.

  • Clothing and Footwear less than $100 per item. Shoes that exceed $100 will result in a full sales tax on the entire price of the shoes.
  • Clothing Accessories and equipment, less than $50 per item on cosmetics, watches. wigs, jewelry, handbags, etc.
  • School Supplies, art supplies, and school instructional materials are subject to no price restrictions on these items. If an item is not on the listing, it remains taxable during the sales tax holiday period.
  • Electronic Devices:  cell phones, computers, laptops, calculators, printers, tablets, and e-readers

Specified online purchases will also be tax-free if purchased during the tax-free weekend and items are delivered to an Arkansas address.
