It's coming back for a second season. Get ready Arkansas, season 2 of the Emmy Award winning series Arkansas Treasures will premiere on Monday, August 11 at 7 PM on Arkansas PBS.

Arkansas Treasures hosted by Craig O'Neill, features locals bring in everythng from old family heirlooms to yard sale finds and showing the items to expreienced appriasers and finding out not only the worth of the treasures but also a little history and back story of the items too.

Arkansas Treasures in Back For a Second Season

The show is filmed in Conway, Arkansas at the Arkansas PBS studios this past April. They had more that 380 people show up with over 470 unique and quirky items to be looked at and appraised.

According to the press release, some of the items makeing the show include, a first-edition copy of The Shinning, a 19th century German Reich Revolver, folk art by Theora Hamblett, a peice by D. Howard Hitchcock, jewelry, Japanese lanterns and a rare nail fetish from the Bakongo people from the Democratic Repulbic of the Congo.

Returning for season 2 is appraiser Amory LeCuyer of Hampton House Auctions. Also on the show will be Appraisers laura Stanley with jewlery, Kate Askew for Books and paper and Roy Dudley for Art along with archaeoligist Michael Evans and Jarend Pebworth.

Arkansas Treasures Season 2 was made possible by the Moving Image Trust Fund, Cherokee Nation Businesses and the ESSE Purse Museum.
