The unemployment rate for the State of Arkansas had a pretty good year in 2023, the overall statewide rate finished the year at 3.4% in December, almost a full point higher than the lowest rate during the year at 2.6% in July, according to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics

According to the Farm Bureau, Arkansas is one of the top producers in the Nation in poultry, with over 5.5 Billion pounds of broiler meat per year, and over 300 million eggs produced per month. All this with 97% of the state's over 49,000 farms being family-owned.
