Main Street El Dorado's award-winning "Showdown at Sunset" will feature three award winning performances this summer June 24, July 22, and August 26. 2017 beginning at 6PM. Each performance will take place on the steps of the Union County Courthouse located at Union Square in downtown El Dorado, Arkansas.

This event was named one of the Top 100 events in North America by the American Bus Association and received the Community Trademark Award by the Arkansas Festival and Event Association.

Story Behind The Showdown

City Marshal Guy Tucker confronted his bitter rivals the Parnell Brothers on the courthouse square in 1902 where gunfire ensued and three men were shot to death with several others wounded. The re-enactment supports a cast of area actors and showcases the events that led to this historical bloody feud.

Live music and entertainment will begin at 6PM leading up to the showdown at 6:30PM There will also be horse and carriage ride available beginning at 5PM.

Free admission to Showdown at Sunset  and group seating is available.
