‘Bandit Run’ Welcoming Party And Send Off This Weekend in Downtown Texarkana
This year marks the 40th anniversary the movie 'Smokey and The Bandit' hit theaters. So, of course there is no better way to celebrate than with a welcoming party for the Bandit Run this Saturday, June 17 from 10AM-3PM in Texarkana behind the Four States Auto Museum in downtown Texarkana.
The museum is located at 217 Laurel Street in Texarkana, Arkansas. There will be beautiful cars, food for purchase and live music with the Pines Country Club Reunion Band. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy the music. Proceeds will benefit the Four States Auto Museum.
According to the museum's Facebook page, over 200 cars are entered for the run that will start Sunday morning with an escorted departure from town. Starting on Stateline at I-30 and travel south on Stateline Avenue, then pass the museum between 8:30AM and 9AM. The cars will travel the Smokey and the Bandit route and finish in Jonesboro, GA later in the week with more festivities planned there. You can find out more information at The Bandit Run website.
