The Bowie County 4-H members recently competed in the District IV 4H Food Challenge and Iron Chef type competition where the youth receive a list of ingredients along with a few food items available in a common pantry to prepare a dish in 45 minutes. Those competing analyze the cost per serving as well as the nutrient content of their dish.

Their Intermediate team placed 4th in the Bread and Cereal Division ( pictured left to right: 4-H Food and Nutrition Project leader, Ms. Belinda Lum, Dawson Parker, Bryce Parker, JJ Fincher and Trevor Beal.
