Five Death Investigations Included in Bowie County Sheriff’s Weekly Report

The Bowie County Sheriff's Office saw a slight uptick in arrests across the county last week, with a total of 94 individuals taken into custody in the first full week of March.

Warrant Arrests and Jail Commitments

Deputies made 31 warrant-related arrests during the reporting period. These included warrants for probation violations, failure to appear, driving while intoxicated, stalking, and other offenses.

Two individuals were also booked on commitment sentences related to criminal trespass and possession of a controlled substance.

Assault and Threat-Related Incidents

Deputies investigated four assault cases during the week. One of those incidents involved assault on hospital personnel, while another involved family violence.

Authorities also responded to two terroristic threat reports during the reporting period.

Death Investigations

Deputies conducted five death investigations during the week. No additional information has been released.
