Kacey Musgraves had a big surprise for the fans who attended her Friday night (March 1) show in Nashville. During her performance at Nashville's legendary Ryman Auditorium, Musgraves welcomed Brooks & Dunn to the stage to join her for a joint performance of their classic hit, "Neon Moon."

She was partway into a solo rendition of the song on Friday when Brooks & Dunn entered the stage through the dimly lit back, and when the lights came up at the end of the chorus, the audience roared as the moment revealed Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn onstage. They strummed along on acoustic guitars and lent their voices to the subsequent choruses for a unique version of "Neon Moon" that blends its original country twang with some modern progressive pop elements. In the fan-shot video above, the audience loudly sings along with virtually every word.

Musgraves covered the song with the superstar duo in a new arrangement for their upcoming Reboot project, which also features re-imaginings of more of their classics with artists including Jon PardiKane Brown, Luke Combs, Cody JohnsonThomas RhettBrett YoungLuke CombsLancoAshley McBrydeMidland and Brothers Osborne. Reboot is set for release on April 5.

Friday night was the third night of Musgraves' four-night run at the Ryman, and she surprised the audience with a different special guest at each show. Paramore singer Hayley Williams joined her on Wednesday night (Feb. 27) for a rendition of Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," and she brought CeeLo Green out to duet with her on the Gnarls Barkley hit "Crazy" on Thursday night (Feb. 28). Musgraves wraps her Ryman stint on Saturday night (March 2).

Musgraves' three Nashville performances were part of her ongoing Oh, What a World Tour 2019, which launched in Indianapolis in January and runs through Sept. 28, when it wraps in New Orleans.
