Community Encouraged to Support CASA and TCAC on Dec. 2

CASA of Texarkana and the Texarkana Children’s Advocacy Center (TCAC) are inviting the community to a Holiday Open House on Tuesday, December 2, from 4 - 6 PM at their shared location at 1201 Main Street in Texarkana. The free event welcomes the public to learn more about the work these organizations do to support local children who have experienced abuse or neglect.

Meet the Team and Tour the Texarkana Facility

Guests will be able to tour the facility, enjoy light hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, and meet the professionals and volunteers who carry out this mission each day. Staff members, including advocates, forensic interviewers, therapists, and long-time volunteers, will be available to talk about the services provided and how the community can get involved.

Event Coincides With 'Giving Tuesday' Support Efforts

This year’s Open House also coincides with Giving Tuesday, a global day of charitable giving. Organizers say the timing is meaningful, especially as both CASA and TCAC face significant funding losses in 2025. Community support is more important than ever to maintain the programs and services that help local children find safety, healing, and justice.

CASA and TCAC Continue Longstanding Mission in Texarkana

For more than three decades, CASA for Children and the Texarkana Children’s Advocacy Center have worked together as sister programs serving Texarkana and the surrounding area.
