New Chick-fil-A Building Coming on Richmond Road
According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, Chick-fil-A at 2601 Richmond Road will soon be torn down and reconstructed. Chick-fil-A officials confirm to TXK Today, that a new 5,929-square-foot building will be built to accommodate its customers more efficiently with faster service including new drive-through lanes, canopies, more parking space, new signage, and vast improvements from the original building.
Work on the new project is expected to begin sometime this year however, no official date has been set for the reconstruction.
The Richmond Road location in Texarkana opened in 2003 and then closed temporarily in 2018 for a remodel before opening back up. The Chick-fil-A on Richmond Road is the busiest and most popular location and remains the only free-standing building. The restaurant's capacity nearly doubled the original with large canopies and double-drive-through lanes. The other Chick-fil-A is located inside Central Mall.
