CHRISTUS Health Nurses, Staff Travel to Support Hospitals in Southeast Texas
Thirteen registered nurses from CHRISTUS St. Michael have arrived at CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth to support hospital staff in the ICU and Telemetry areas hit hard by Tropical Depression Imelda.
Additionally, five security officers from CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini in Alexandria have also arrived at CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth today to help ensure that all access points to the hospital are properly managed. Also, several team members gathered additional supplies to bring in support.
This was 100% voluntary, and the team members are prepared to stay through Monday to provide support in areas where the need is greatest.
A special thanks to all 13 nurses from Texarkana who are volunteering their time to help in aiding the flood victims in Southeast Texas ravaged by the tropical storm.
