Arctic Air Headed to Arkansas - How Cold Will It Get?

This massive wave of frigid cold air could be colder than the last one we had last weekend which hit most of the state with 8-12 inches of snow. Southern sections of Arkansas dealt with power outages due to freezing rain and sleet that threatened the area.

This next wave of cold air could be the coldest of the season yet.  Temperatures are expected to drop into the lower teens and 20s with a wind chill factor that makes it feel more like single digits for parts of northern and central Arkansas. Chances for winter precipitation are unlikely but depending on changing weather patterns in the coming days, things could change. Stay informed with the latest weather forecasts at KARK-TV
