Country star and the 2015 ACM New Artist of the Year Cole Swindell will appear in concert at the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium on Thursday, February 18.

A native of a small community in Bronwood, Georgia, Swindell caught the attention of some Nashville reps who blew into to town to watch him perform, hoping that what he recorded on his CD transformed to the stage. And it did. It lead to a songwriting deal with a Nashville publishing company where he gained the reputation as being one of the city's exciting young performers.

It was the song "Chillin It" that was his breakout single and put him on the path to stardom. The song turned out to be a gold certified single and a first number one hit of his solo career. A string of hits followed with "Hope You Get Lonely Tonight," "Ain't Worth The Whiskey," And "Let Me See You Girl." Swindell has also written songs for Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan and Thomas Rhett.

Swindell just made the announcement that his sophomore album You Should Be Here, which is his debut single off the album, is expected to be released on May 6. The title song holds special meaning to him as it's a tribute to his late father who he lost two years ago in an accident.  Swindell hopes this song will touch other people who may have lost someone whether it be through death or just losing someone you love.

The story behind the video follows the success of his career and the desire to share these life-changing moments with his father. By the end of the video, Swindell is in tears and you may need some Kleenex, too.

Here's the video.
