Collecting Donations For Texarkana Residents Affected by Hurricane Beryl
On Monday afternoon, as Hurricane Beryl came into the Texarkana area, many houses and businesses were affected in the Beverly neighborhood in Texarkana, and they need help from the community.
The City of Texarkana Texas and the Believe in Beverly Neighborhood Association have teamed together to collect donations at the Beverly Community Center at 901 Lumpkin Street in Texarkana, Texas, following Monday's storms.
Several homes and businesses in the Beverly community were affected. As the clean-up of the debris and assessing the damage continues, the families in that area need resources. Items that are desperately needed include bottled water, non-perishable food items, and toiletries.
Lunch will be available at the Beverly Community Center Monday – Thursday
12 PM to 2 PM for impacted Beverly residents
A cooling station is available from 11 AM to 6 PM for those that are still without power.
If you also suffered damage to your home or property in the Texarkana area you are encouraged to fill out the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) individual State of Texas Assistance Tool (iSTAT).
This tool offers individuals the chance to report damages to emergency management and the State of Texas. Just visit the website at https://damage.tdem.texas.gov/ and report the damage that Beryl caused at your house or property.
