COVID-19 Texarkana Area Update for Thursday, August 6
Bowie County Emergency Operations Center reports a total of 679 positive COVID-19 cases, with 291 recoveries and 38 related deaths. There are currently 350 active cases being traced in Bowie County.
Cass County has a total of 160 cases with 84 recoveries, 7 deaths and currently 69 active cases.
Miller County has 495 total cases, 60 active positive cases, 4006 negative results, 430 recovered and 5 deaths. (Updated 8/6/20)
The Bowie County/Texarkana, Texas Joint Operations Center is still conducting contact tracing on positive cases, so if you test positive for COVID-19, or are a healthcare provider that conducts COVID testing, please notify the Local Health Authority at (903) 255-5560.
